Hello Aspirant,
No, you cannot use EWS certificate issued to your father in your name. In CLAT, EWS certificate is to be issued in the name of a candidate on the basis of family income and assets even if you are a minor. Since you are under 18, the certificate will still have your details but it will take your family income (with your father) into consideration. You will need to apply for your own EWS certificate through the local authority pre counselling.

Yes, as a minor you can still apply for an EWS certificate in your own name. There is no minimum age limit to apply. The main requirement is that your family meets the EWS eligibility conditions such as being in the general category, having annual family income below 8 lakh, and falling within the property limits as per the rules. You must apply using your own name with correct details of your family income and assets. Even though you are under 18, the certificate will still be valid if issued in your name. Your parent's or guardian's certificate alone will not work for reservation. You can apply through your local tehsil office or the official government portal of your state.
