Because you did not enter the RD number for your caste and income, it appears that your category status was not accurately recorded in your application. Your application may be evaluated under the General Merit (GM) category rather than the SC category as a result.

The authorities will carefully review every document you provide, including your caste and income certificates, during document verification and seat assignment. Your eligibility for category-based reservations, seat allotment, and tuition fee concessions may be affected if they discover that your category status differs from what you claimed in your application.

If at all feasible, rectify this inaccuracy before to the verification process to avoid any problems. You may choose to get in touch with the support staff or helpdesk for the relevant exam.

Hello from Careers360,

Thank you for reaching out regarding your concern about category status in the application process. We understand this is an important issue that could significantly impact your admissions prospects.

Your situation with the category change from SC to GM due to the RD number entry is certainly concerning. To give you the most accurate guidance, we'd need a bit more information:

1. Which specific admission process or exam are you referring to?

2. Have you already submitted the application, or is there still time to make changes?

Generally speaking, discrepancies between the category claimed in the application and the documents presented during verification can indeed lead to complications or potential rejection. However, the exact consequences can vary depending on the institution and admission process.

I'd strongly advise you to:

1. Double-check all entries in your application form if possible.

2. Contact the admissions office of the institution or the exam conducting body immediately to explain the situation and seek guidance.

3. Keep all your original category certificates ready for the verification process.

If you'd like more specific advice, please provide additional details about the admission process you're going through. We're here to help you navigate this situation.
