According to me you should take admission in NIT.
But I am not saying that you can not go with a drop.
You can
Even you can score more than this next year.
If you are determined to go in IIT and you can study with positive enthusiasm and confidence you can take a drop.
And one more option is also you can take admission in nit and give jee during ist year .and if you get better rank and college you can leave that nit .

If you are really confident about clearing Advanced,then you can take a drop and prepare for it.
However,if you think that it will be much pressure added and you cannot make it,then going to a good NIT would not make such a huge difference.
