According to my point of view the best course in IMU- CET is Diploma in nautical science (DNS) which 1 year course in consist to 2 semester in year After 1 year 18 month onboard training in which you will stipend around $400 to 500 . After completing that your eligible for Third officer exam .After passing the Third officer exam you became navigation officer and starting salary around 1lakh above .By promotion exam you became captain ship

It is fees around 6 lakh for 1 year course

The IMU is providing the various undergraduate, postgraduate and post graduate diploma programs for candidates and those are going to get admission in the IMU, they have to select any one courses under any programs as per their eligibility criteria and they have to pick syllabus and exam pattern for a better help of preparation.
Btech marine engineering is the course which is highly in demand. Its up to you to decide whether you want to pursue deck or engine. Both are in need. If you want to sail all your life choose deck but if you want to step down after couple of years choose engine.
