In case of candidates joining B. Tech. (MarineEngineering) degree course, glasses may be allowed buteye sightin each eye beyond plus/minus 2.5 will be rejected. Unaidedvisionshould be 6/12 in both eyes minimum or 6/9 in the good eye and 6/12 in the other eye minimum.

IMU CET 2019 exam is conducted in online mode only.



Exam Pattern :
There will be 200 MCQS type questions that would be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Math, GK, English and Aptitude. Candidates who want to seek admission in B.tech will be tested for their knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Math, Go and Aptitude. The exam is of 3 hours. There is no negative marking.
Physics - 50 questions
Chemistry - 25 questions
Mathematics - 50 questions
English - 25 questions
General Knowledge - 25 questions
Aptitude - 25 questions
For each correct answer the candidates will be awarded with 1 marks.
The syllabus of IMU CET comprises of class 11 and class 12 subjects both.

Some of the important topics from different subjects are as follows :
Physics :
Law's of motion, energy and power, properties of matter, electrostatics, current electricity, magnetic effects of electric current, electomagnetic induction, alternating current, optics, dual nature of radiation and atomic physics, nuclear physics, semiconductor devices and their application.

Chemistry :
Atomic structure, p-d-f block elements, coordination chemistry, solid state chemistry, thermodynamics, chemical equibrium, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, isomerism in organic compunds, alcohol and ethers, carbonyl compunds, carboxylic acids and their derivatives.

Math :
Matrics and their application, trigonometry and complex numbers, analytical geometry of two dimensions and three dimensions, vector algebra, differential calculus, integral calculusand it's application, differential equations, probability distribution, discrete mathematics.
