JNU Delhi Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi admissions are available for diploma, undergrdauate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Jawaharlal Nehru University admissions are offered to eligible candidates based in the merit of entrance examination.

Entrance Exams Accepted for JNU Delhi Admissions 2025

Candidates need to follow the below mentioned JNU application process before taking JNU Delhi admissions.

• Register for the CUET/JEE Main entrance examination on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). 
• Then, visit the JNU admission portal of the university and register with the required details
• Fill out the online application form and submit it along with the required documents and application fee.
• Once you are shortlisted, attend the counselling session.
• Pay the JNU admission fee and complete the other admission formalities.

To log into the student portal, candidates must visit the student portal website: jnu.ac.in/user/login. After that, candidates must enter their username, and their password and click on ‘Login’. JNU admission login portal includes academic details, fees, admission status and many other details.

JNU Delhi admissions are offered to a total of 16 courses at the undergraduate level. UG courses offered for JNU admissions are B.A. Hons and B.Tech-M.Tech Integrated programmes. The duration of these courses ranges from 3 to 5 years. Admission to JNU Delhi B.Tech courses is based on JEE Main scores and JoSAA counselling.

JNU Delhi BTech Admission Process

• Eligible candidates must register for the JEE Main examination, conducted by the NTA for JNU admissions to the B.Tech course. 
• Appear and qualify for the examination with a valid score.
• Qualified candidates must register for the JoSAA counselling. 
• JNU Delhi admission committee will release the cutoff list for B.Tech admission to the university.
• Candidates falling in the JNU Delhi JEE Main cutoff rank must give preference to the university for admission.
• Once selected, visit the respective department for document verification.

• Then apply for the course through the CAT examination’s website.
• Appear and qualify for the CAT entrance examination.

JNJU admissions are offered a total of 65 courses at the doctoral level which includes the PhD courses in different specialisations. The duration of these courses is 3 to 6 years. JNU admissions are based on the entrance examination conducted by the NTA. 

JNU Admission Criteria

JNU PhD Admission Process 2025

• Apply for the Computer-Based entrance examination for PhD courses on the official website of the NTA. 
• For JNIU admissions to the PhD courses, students have to appear for the entrance examination.
• However, students with valid scores in JRF and GATE are exempted from the entrance exam.
• Candidates must apply for JNU admissions through the official website of the university.
• Qualified candidates have to appear for the viva-voca round.
• Aspirants will be selected for JNU admissions based on their performance in the entrance examination and viva-voca.
• Students selected have to submit their documents for verification along with course fees.

JNU Delhi admission committee conducts counselling sessions for admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates must fill out the online application form. Seats will be allotted on the basis of performance in the entrance examination and cutoff marks criteria. For JNU Delhi B.Tech admission, candidates must apply for the JoSSA counselling. The counselling will be held in online mode. The counselling session will comprise seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
