About Cutoff at DU Delhi

Delhi University (DU) releases the cutoff for admission to undergraduate programmes. DU CUET cutoff 2024 is the minimum mark required by candidates in CUET for admission to the college.  The university will declare multiple rounds of Delhi University cutoff marks 2024 also called CSAS allocation-cum-admission rounds and spot admission rounds subject to the availability of seats.

The merit list is released after taking into account the CUET exam scores of the applicants and the choices filled by them in the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. The factors that determine the Delhi University (DU) cutoff are CUET UG marks, the total number of seats on offer for admission, the category of the candidate, the course or college chosen by a candidate and the previous year’s Delhi University cutoff marks. Candidates interested in admission to Delhi University Delhi must clear the cut-off.

College Infrastructure

The library is large enough to accommodate a vast number of books on financial management, company law, and economics. The computer facilities are also well-stocked with software such as Tally, SPSS, and MS Excel for data analysis and financial modeling. The sports infrastructure is also well maintained with basketball courts, football grounds, and table tennis halls. Though hostel facilities exist in some DU colleges, the majority of students prefer PGs in the neighborhood.

Have a question related to DU Delhi ?

Hello Ananya,

For a rough estimate, based on previous years' trends and the competitiveness of the CUET for admission to CIC, DU, you might need to score:

Around 90-95% in the CUET to have a strong chance of securing admission to the B.Tech program at CIC.

This typically translates to a score of approximately 220-240 out of 250 in the Mathematics and General Test sections, as these are critical for the B.Tech program.

Please note that these numbers are only estimates and the actual cutoffs may vary based on the difficulty of the exam and the number of applicants. It’s always best to aim for the highest score possible.

Hope that helps. Have a nice day !!

Is pursuing biomedical science in delhi university is good? If it is yes BCAS or ANDC is good?

Hey Anusree, great question about Biomedical Science at Delhi University!

Let's break it down:

So, is a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biomedical Science at DU a good idea?

Absolutely! If you're fascinated by the molecular and cellular side of health and disease, it's a fantastic choice.

You'll gain the knowledge and skills you need for a career in research, diagnostics, or other related fields.

Now, you're asking whether Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC) or Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences (BCAS) is better.

Here's a quick comparison to help you decide: Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC):

  • Academics: ANDC is known for really focusing on science education and research. Students rave about the teaching quality and the faculty's experience.
  • Infrastructure: They've got well-equipped labs and classrooms, which definitely helps create a good learning environment.
  • Placements: Okay, so placements are said to be just average. But they do offer guidance if you're planning on higher studies and a research career.

Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences (BCAS):

  • Academics: BCAS offers a pretty comprehensive Biomedical Science program designed to get you ready for research and diagnostics careers. They really emphasize practical skills along with the theory.
  • Infrastructure: This is where BCAS shines! They boast some exceptional lab facilities and classrooms with e-learning tools, making the learning experience top-notch.
  • Placements: BCAS has an active placement cell that tries to find job opportunities for students. But let's be real, like with many specialized science programs, a lot of grads go on to further studies to boost their career prospects. So, how do you choose? Here's what to think about:
  • Faculty and Teaching Quality: Both colleges have experienced faculty who are dedicated to helping students succeed. You really can't go wrong with either.
  • Infrastructure: BCAS is known for its state-of-the-art labs and e-learning facilities. That could give them an edge when it comes to hands-on training.
  • Research Opportunities: Check out the research projects and collaborations each college offers. Getting involved can seriously enhance your learning.
  • Location and Campus Life: Don't forget to consider the overall vibe of the campus, the extracurriculars, and student life.

These things make a big difference in your overall experience. Basically, both ANDC and BCAS have strong Biomedical Science programs.

The best choice really depends on your interests, career goals, and what you're looking for in terms of campus facilities and culture.

If you can, try to visit both campuses and chat with current students or faculty. That'll give you the best insights to help you make your decision!

Yes, you can likely select Maths as a domain in CUET UG even though you were a PCB student in your main Class 12. Here's why:

Delhi University's rules for CUET UG say you need to appear in CUET in subjects that you have passed in Class 12. Since you appeared privately and passed Additional Mathematics, DU should consider this as a subject you've passed.

Therefore, when you fill the CUET UG form, you should be able to choose Mathematics as one of your domain subjects alongside your language paper.

However, its super important to check the specific eligibility criteria for the exact course you want to join in DU. Different courses might have specific subject requirements in CUET. For example, a B.Sc. Maths (Hons) will definitely need Maths in CUET.

So, while you can probably choose Maths in CUET because you passed it as an additional subject, always double - check the DU course  requirements on their official admission website to make sure your subject combination in CUET will make you eligible for the course you're aiming for.

I hope this helps.
