Hello Koushik,

Yes, it is possible for you to attend the NEET UG 2025 exam as an engineering student. There is no restriction on the academic background of candidates who wish to appear for NEET.

Here are the steps you can follow:

  1. Check the Eligibility Criteria: Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria set by NTA for NEET UG 2025. This typically includes having completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects.
  2. Register for NEET UG 2025: Once the registration window opens, you can register online on the official NTA website.
  3. Prepare for the Exam: Start preparing for the NEET UG 2025 exam. You can use textbooks, online resources, and coaching materials to study for the exam.
  4. Appear for the Exam: On the exam day, appear for the NEET UG 2025 exam at your designated examination center.

If you qualify for NEET UG 2025 and secure a good rank, you can apply for admission to medical colleges through the counseling process.

Yes, Koushik, as an engineering student, you are still eligible to appear for the NEET UG 2025 exam. There is no restriction based on your current field of study in engineering. NEET eligibility criteria mainly focus on your 12th-grade qualifications, not your current course of study.

To be eligible for NEET UG 2025, you must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects. Since you completed the PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) course in your 12th board, you meet the academic requirements. Additionally, you need to have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for the general category (40% for reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC).

You are allowed to attempt NEET multiple times, as there is no limit on the number of attempts, and the age limit for general category candidates is 17 to 25 years (with a 5-year relaxation for reserved categories).

Thus, if you meet the basic eligibility criteria, you can definitely appear for NEET UG 2025 while pursuing your engineering studies and try for a seat in an MBBS program.

hope this helps you!!

Hello,

Yes, as an engineering student, you are eligible to appear for the NEET UG 2025 exam.

NEET eligibility criteria require candidates to have completed or be pursuing 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, with a minimum percentage depending on the category.

Since you've completed PCMB in your 12th, you meet the educational requirements. There's no restriction on the number of attempts or switching between courses. You can prepare for and attempt NEET while pursuing your engineering degree.

Ensure you meet any specific guidelines or updates from the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Hope it helps !

Hello Koushik,

Yes, Koushik, as an engineering student, you can still appear for the NEET UG 2025 exam. NEET eligibility does not restrict candidates based on their current course of study. As long as you meet the basic eligibility criteria (like having completed your 12th with PCB subjects and the required percentage), you can take the exam. You can prepare alongside your engineering studies and give the exam next year.
