Hello Greetings

Since you mentioned OBC category in the MAH CET form but didn't apply for the certificate, your form might not get rejected immediately. However, you may face issues during the document verification process or later.

Possible Consequences

1. _Document Verification_: During document verification, you'll be required to produce the OBC certificate. If you don't have one, you might be asked to provide an explanation or proof that you belong to the creamy layer.

2. _Category Change_: If your form is accepted, but you're unable to produce the OBC certificate, you might be considered under the General category. This could affect your chances of admission, as the competition for General category seats is typically higher.

3. _Rejection or Cancellation_: In extreme cases, if the authorities discover that you've provided incorrect information, your application might be rejected or your admission canceled.

Recommended Course of Action

1. _Contact MAH CET Authorities_: Reach out to the MAH CET authorities and explain your situation. They might provide guidance on how to proceed.

2. _Provide Proof of Creamy Layer Status_: If possible, obtain a document or certificate that proves you belong to the creamy layer. This might help during document verification.

3. _Be Prepared for Category Change_: Be prepared to be considered under the General category if you're unable to produce the OBC certificate.

Keep in mind that honesty is the best policy. If you're unsure about your category or have made an error, it's better to clarify and correct it sooner rather than later.

Have a great day

Hello,

If you have filled the MHT CET form and mentioned OBC but haven't applied for the required certificate and are in the creamy layer, then your form won't be rejected, but you will be considered under the general (open) category unless you provide valid OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) documentation.

Here's what happens:

  • The process of verification verifies the existence of the OBC-NCL certificate. Failure to produce it invalidates the claim for benefits related to the OBC category, such as reservations and fee concessions.
  • General Category : You will be shifted to the general category, and your form will remain valid for admissions under the open category.

To avoid complications, clarify your category status during the verification process. If your intention was to apply as a general candidate, no action is needed. Ensure honesty and accuracy in future forms.
