Hey,
If you take an additional exam in mathematics from an open board, as you want to pursue engineering, you will have two mark sheets which is not acceptable for JEE Mains or Advanced or JOSSA. NTA and IIT require single 10+2 certificate with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
Hello,
No, a dual marksheet is not accepted for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or JoSAA counselling.
If you studied PCB in Class 12 and now want to appear for engineering exams, you must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the same Class 12 marksheet from a single recognized board in one attempt.
So, if you take Mathematics separately from an open board, that will make two marksheets, which will not be considered valid for JEE.
The only valid option is to reappear in all required subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in a single attempt from one board.
Hope it helps !

Hello dear candidate,
Yes, dual marksheet is valid in JEE mains/ JEE advanced/ JOSAA. you just need to make sure that your both boards are recognized and complete all three subjects PCM.
Your qualifying year will become the one in which you finish maths.
Just make sure that your open board is accepted by COBSE or NIOS, only then it will be accepted.
Thank you.
