Hi aspirant,

There is no problem with your current course. If you want to become a captain in a ship, you have to complete nautical science degree or diploma course in a recognized institute. You can also do GP course to enter into the merchant navy. Al these three ways will not allow you to directly become as a captain.

Training, promotions and exams will help you to achieve this. If you are having b.sc degree in nautical science, it will be easier. Otherwise it will be little bit time consuming.

Hope it helps.
