Chandu, if you are studying B.Tech in Mineral Engineering, then you should opt for Mining Engineering paper in GATE. M.Tech in Mining Engineering includes the theory, technology, science and practise and application of extracting and processing alloys. So Mining Engineering complements Mineral Engineering.
