Hope you are doing well ! No need to worry at all,if you were absent in your maths improvement exam then your previous marks of maths will be counted ,so don't take unnecessary stress ,focus on your next targets of life , improvement exams are just to improve your marks ,now once contact to your school as they will guide you more better in this situation but i have given answer according to me and I think it will most probably correct .

See, improvement exams are just for enhancing your marks in particular subject . It doesn't effect your main marksheet if you are fail in the improvement exam.

And you said that you were absent in maths exam then it will show E grade then your school consider your marks that you got in previous exam.

So, don't be confused , if you get more marks in English improvement exam then this marks will be considered in your final marksheet and same in maths.
