With less than a month to Go CAT becomes difficult for Preparation, so you should target easierexams like MHCET, CMAT, SNAP.
Kindly register the exams before deadline is over.
You would require to give atleast 20 mock exams befor final exam. Moreover , keep revision of your frequently committed mistakes and negative scored questions to eliminate them. You can use books by Arun Sharma for quantitative aptitude and lOgical Reasoning, Nishit sinha for Data Interpretation, CeTking notes for Verbal ability. For Online mock exams go with Oliveboard, Testfunda, HitbullsEye.
There are other MBA exams also which you can give apart from cat. You can give xat through which you can get into xlri, ximb etc. The pattern for the exam is different from cat. You should start giving mock tests for xat. Also you can give cat. It would give you a good practice also and you will get acquainted with the exam.
You can also go for SNAP through which you can get into SIBM and SCMHRD which are good colleges with a strong alum network.
But if you are interested in finance I would suggest waiting another year and preparing for cat as all these colleges are known for sales and marketing not for finance.
Other than CAT you can give XAT exam which is not only makes you eligible for one of the top college XLRI but also it's score is valid in many reputated private colleges.
You can also appear in the exams conducted by various private colleges like SNAP for symbiosis, NMAT for Narsee Monjee, IIFT for Indian Institute of foreign trade college. For different private state colleges you can also attempt MAT, CMAT, CET.
If you have any ambition to do MBA from foreign or from ISB Hyderabad which is one of the best B-school of India then you can give GMAT exam.
All the best for your preparations and exams!!
I would suggest you to complete your CA first then go for MBA if you want to as CA degree will help you immensely during your admission and selection process. If you can get CA and then get admission in IIM or FMS, XLRI etc, it would be great. If you still want to go for MBA in the coming session and not take CAT then go for SNAP, XAT, NMAT without any second thoughts.. But I would suggest to take cat as well because syllabus is almost similar for all the exams despite the difficulty level, so you'll have am idea and you never know when luck plays its game. You may score good in CAT else it will be am experience for you. So decision is totally yours.. Dont miss the above mentioned exams and all the best..
