I changed my category from OBC to General during counselling, and got alloted a seat from unreserved category. Will they ask for my category certificate during admission?

No,the certificate is asked when you are taking admission through your reservation quota if you are getting admission as general category there is no need to submit your caste certificate.additionally, you should carry all your relevant documents at the counselling process to avoid any kind of delaying in admission and if possible you must have photocopies of your original documents because they submit original documents at the time of admission.

Hello there,

Since you were allotted a seat under the unreserved category (General), the institution typically will not require your OBC certificate during admission. However, it is always a good idea to carry all relevant documents, including your category certificate, just in case they ask for it for record-keeping purposes. The primary focus will be on the category under which you were admitted, which in this case is General.

Thankyou. Hope this information helps you.
