I filled my form of aiapget through open category because i was not having the validity certificate of my caste. Later, I verified all the documents of my caste certificate and now as I have all the documents verified, fall under obc sebc category. so can i change my caste in state counselling?

yes, you cannot change your category in the AIAPGET application now,but you can update it at the State counselling stage. You should submit your verified OBC-SEBC caste certificate,cast validity and NCL(if required)at the time of document verification.While submitting clearly inform the authorities that you had applied under open earlier because your cast validity wasn't ready and now you've all the documents.The. Counselling authority will then consider your vaste as OBC-SEBC for seat allotment.If you fail to submit or report this during verification,you'll remain in the open category.
However, contact the Counseling helpdesk in advance to avoid any issues.
Keep all orginal documents ready,report about the earlier open category and check the counselling schedule carefully.
