I get prep st rank 145 in jee adv can I opt iit or I take nit my category rank in nit is 1022 in jee mains? If I get iit what are limitation

According to me you should go for the IIT, cause the reputation of any IIT would stand out of itself. Although at this rank you won't be getting any of the top IITs and the new IITs are still under construction but if you want to go for a well built infrastructure go for the NIT. There is no drawbacks to any of the two.
