According to your VITMEE rank you might get a seat in VIT Chennai u nder category 1 and 2 for Mtech in cse. The cutoffs actually depend in the number of seats that are applied. Being a private University, every year the number of students applying for it varies so it becomes hard to say a exact figure. But according to my research about previous year cutoffs you might get in VIT Chennai.

Many students who score a good rank will not attend the seat counseling so that will free up several slots.

The availability of a certain branch for a given VITMEE rank changes real-time as and when a branch gets filled up.

That being said, 1124 is not so  good rank and I'd say you have a low or medium chance of getting CSE. Good luck.
