i got 1965 rank (general category) in uptu and 46 marks in jee mains. Should i drop a year for scoring good in jee and go for NIT?

Hey. I think your UPTU rank is quite decent. I feel taking a year drop is irrelevant. Definitely you will improve but it won't be very significant if you haven't planned it perfectly. My advice will be to get into a college which gives you the branch of your choice and do good in your Engineering.
