Hello student. 2114 is a bit higher rank. So there are lesser chances to get computer science in coimbatore branch. If there is any reservation or state quota exists, then your chances might improve on this.

Whe it comes to IT department. Both cse and IT are the same except that they differ in certain subjects. But in coimbatore campus, IT does not have much of a placement record. So Before you choose, I suggest you to give it a thought.
