Surya based upon your rank obtained you have the good chances to obtain the ECE at the Vellore premises of the VIT campus because from the students lying under the rank of 1-5k will generally not take the VIT because they will preferred they are those Candidate's who are having the good range of score in the JEE so they will opt the Government Institutions rather to go with the option as VIT so for the lower range students it will be a opportunity created by them and secondly try to take the branch in the main campus rather than the side campuses because it have it's own good advantages.
