It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category

If you manage to qualify JEE Main Cutoff, You would be eligible for JEE Advance which is the intake exam for IITs as mentioned above.

However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

Dear student, if you got 68.5 percentile score then also you can participate in jossa counseling irrespective of your rank. The jee Mains cutoff is only made, to decide whether you are eligible to give jee advanced or not. As you have not qualified the ews cutoff set by jee mains 2020 ( that was around 70 percentile) then that doesn't means that you are not eligible to sit in jossa counseling. It doesn't matter if you have qualified the jee main or not you can sit in jossa counseling. All students that have given jee mains exam are eligible to sit in jossa counseling. There is no such eligibility that if you have qualified the jee mains then only you can sit in counseling. If you are not qualified then also you can sit in counseling but you will not get any seat.

Hi,

For Josaa Counselling there is no Jee Main cutoff (It is for Jee Advanced). If you have appeared for JEE Main then you can participate in Josaa Counselling.
