Hi

Admission in NIT is solely on the basis of your rank in JEE Mains and not your class 12th percentage.

I am assuming you from general category

Your profile suggest that your home state is Telangana

With 75 percentile

I am  sorry to tell you but with this rank you have low chances in any NIT, even in lower ones.

For example,

Cosing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under other state  for general category  :-

  • National Institute of Technology Sikkim, Civil Engineering :- 47412

  • National Institute of Technology, Mizoram, Civil Engineering:- 49757

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 50,010

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 45,000 - 50,000 to get into even lower NITs. And to get a rank in this range, you need at atleast around 95.5 - 96 percentile .

Some of the   engineering colleges in which you hold a chance are listed below along with their previous year cut off link :-

----------)College of Engineering and Management, Kolaghat  :- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/college-of-engineering-and-management-kolaghat/cut-off?college_id=2514&exam_sub_exam_id=2&ici=college_view_cutoffs

----------)Shree LR Tiwari College of Engineering, Thane:- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/shree-lr-tiwari-college-of-engineering-thane/cut-off?college_id=3158&exam_sub_exam_id=2&ici=college_view_cutoffs

---------)Walchand Institute of Technology, Solapur:- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/walchand-institute-of-technology-solapur/cut-off?college_id=2599&exam_sub_exam_id=2&ici=college_view_cutoffs

Dear Student,

NIT Takes admission through the JOSSA counselling only with the JEE mains score, your percentage will not matter here even if you have got 100%, you just need a good rank/percentile to get the best NIT in good branches.

With 75 percentile you will not be able to get any of the college through JOSSA counselling or even you may not qualify it also, you can try your own state counselling to get some government colleges.

BTW you have got a good percentage so you can take admission in some top colleges with your 12th percentage, list of some colleges are given below.

  • Thapar university
  • SASTRA
  • SRM
  • JIIT
  • KIIT
  • Galgotias
  • JSS Noida
  • ABES
  • AKGEC

You can try this link to find some good colleges for yourself according to your rank.

Good luck :)
