Hi there!

83 Percentile is a low score and if you are from general category you don't qualify with this score for JEE Advanced. If you are thinking of getting an admission with this score in an NIT I don't think it is possible. Only way out of this is if you belong to SC or ST and have very less constraints when it comes to choosing a branch. Otherwise for a general category student above 98 percentile will be a decent score of getting into an NIT.

Good luck!

Being OBC also does not solve this problem, if you can apply through the procedure of applying to NITs you can apply and just wait for the results. I personally had 96 percentile in 2017 and was a OBC still could not get Civil in NITs I preffered.
