as per you percentile you may not get admission at NIT as they considers admission according to the cutoff specified by JEE.
if you come in that range then only you can get an admission still it won't as there will be lakhs of students with 90-99 percentile.
so better to go for state level government colleges. there you can get an admission easily but may be not the branch you prefer. still it will be your choice if you want to take an admission or not.
for your interest branch you can go for private institutes through counsellling by which you will have a low fee structure. There wont be any need for direct admission.
private institutes provide quality education and gives scope for students activites.
