Hello,

It would have been appreciable if you would have told the Home State of eligibility. As belonging from certain states does help you get a seat in NITs more easily.

Considering other state quota closing rank for every NITs in JoSAA rounds of counselling, your chances of getting any NIT with even a decent branch is very very low. Most of the obc seats get filled at most till 17k. Still, if you belong to certain states like NorthEast states, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, etc you might get some branches in those NITs, you would definitely want to check closing ranks of those NITs and your Home State NITs.

Regards

Hi ! Yes, you can get a nit college in the basis of your OBC rank category. You can easily get 2nd tier and 3rd tier nits. If you choose 2nd tier nit, then there you will not get the good branches such as CSE or ECE. But if you choose 3rd tier nit then you may get CSE and ECE without any doubt. The colleges range from nit Manipur, Jharkhand,Sikkim, Meghalaya, Durgapur and other which you can check in the link given below. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.

Nope it not possible to get an NIT in 30k rank. You better try for your state level  government colleges. You can get an admission there but it may not be CSE or ECE department.

If you want those then you have to choose a private colleges through counseling in your domicile or in your state. You can get it easily even with the state quota.

Private institute provides good education and scope for students too in an low fee structure.

Hope it helps!
