Hello Aspirant,
Congrats for your percentile and GPA.Yes you have good chances to get IT branch at SASTRA.The admission there is based on 2 streams.
Stream 1:Through JEE Main percentile and 12th board marks(for filling 70% of seats).
Stream 2:Through 12th board marks(for filling 30% of seats).
You have a good CGPA and percentile, so you can apply through stream 1 itself.
The SASTRA rank will be calculated((JEE main percentile*0.25)+(12th board marks*0.75)) and based on that you will be called for counselling in the order of your merit.For you your CGPA will be considered instead of percentage.If there is a tie in the marks between the students then your individual maths, physics and chemistry GPA will be considered and the merit will be decided based on that.
