i had completed my 12th in 2018 from cbse with pcb subjects without maths. but now i want to give afcat for flying branch which requires maths in 12th, so can i be eligible for the same if i give maths examinaion from NIOS or any other state open board?

Hello,

Yes, you will be eligible to apply for AFCAT if you study Mathematics from NIOS and pass in it with minimum 50% marks. The eligibility criteria to appear for AFCAT is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics with minimum 50% marks individually. And must have passed 3 year Bachelor's Degree or 4 year BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent. Or cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Candidates who are in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

So, it doesn’t matter if i gave my 12th in 2018 and will appear for NIOS now, right?
