JEE Main 2025: College Predictor | Marks vs Percentile vs Rank
New: JEE Seat Matrix- IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTI | NITs Cutoff
Latest: Meet B.Tech expert in your city to shortlist colleges
Hello Anshuman,
Considering your situation, you can get into an NIT if you end scoring more than 75%. If you're taking state board than you've to be within 20 percentile of your board.
But you need to get the result before the verification process of JEE mains begins. If you can not provide the certificate during the verification showing that you've made an improvement and got under the 20 percentile of your board; than you'll not be allowed to get in. So, check about your board whether they can provide you the 12th certificate before the due date of verification.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Hi Anshumna,
The eligibility criteria for JEE-Mains says that you have to pass 12th boards with PCM in either 2019 or 2018. As you have secured 73% in 2019, you can apply with that score. However, you will not be eligible for NIT in that case as it requires at least 75%. However, you can apply as a 12th appearing candidate and be eligible for NIT if you score more than 75% in your examination.
