I have a doubt in E-sanad bar council form. Usually we south indians have no surnames. i usually write my name in all documents as SHALINI JAYABALAN, but in e sanad it shows as JAYABALAN SHALINI which is wrong. What to do in such case. PLEASE HELPPP!!
Hello Aspirant,
If your name usually appears as SHALINI JAYABALAN and e-Sanad shows it as JAYABALAN SHALINI, it is probably because the system auto-positions the name using the North Indian style of naming (surname first). Many south Indians do not use a surname, and the order of the name matters, so here is what to do:
- Check your original degree/certificate. e-Sanad will pick up the names as printed on that certificate, exactly.
- If it is correct, but e-Sanad gets it wrong, lodge a grievance/ticket through the e-Sanad helpdesk.
- Clearly state that your official name is SHALINI JAYABALAN, and keep it clear JAYABALAN is not a surname.
- Attach any ID proof (like Aadhaar/passport/PAN) representing the correct order of your name.
