Hello,
No, it is not possible for you to get admission to a reputable engineering college or a National Institute of Technology (NIT) with a score of 20 marks in JEE Main.
JEE Main is a highly competitive exam, and the cutoff scores are typically much higher. For example, in 2022, the cutoff score for general category students was 88.41, and for reserved categories, it was around 60-70.
With a score of 20, you may not even qualify for the exam, as the minimum qualifying marks are typically around 30-40%.
Hope this helps,
Thank you
Hello student
In my opinion, you will not get admission with this mark but I definitely want to give you some more information. You must pay attention to this.
The admission to colleges after giving the JEE Mains exam depends on the closing rank of the specific college . Here are the closing ranks of some of the top colleges in the country :
- B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering: 866
- B.Tech in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence: 2,352
- B.Tech in Computer Engineering: 2,818
- B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing: 3,047
- B.Tech in Information Technology: 2,760
- B.Tech in Computational and Data Science: 2,948
- B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering: 3,080
I can't say for sure whether you will get into one of these colleges with a score of 20, but it's highly unlikely. You can try using a college predictor tool to see which colleges you might be eligible for with your score .
