i have applied for NEET PG under OBC category as my caste certificate shows OBC however i come under creamy layer. during counselling registration since i have put obc it only shows OBC NCL. How do i proceed? will it be an issue if i only apply to deemed universities and dnb?

Hello Aspirant

The concept is simple here, since you are from the creamy layer you won't get the benefit of OBC Quota for admission in college. As, the reservation is only for OBC candidates who belong to Non- Creamy Layer.

So, you will be considered a general candidate in the counseling and will be given admission based on that only. Even if you apply for deemed universities, you will be considered an general candidate, you won't get the benefit of OBC Quota. Only OBC-NCL Certificate holders can avail the benefit.
