I have booked a seat in thec1st round in NCHMCT with the float option. In the 2nd round I have got the seat in the institute I want. I donot find freeze option as it was in the 1st round. Will the seat upgraded be retained

Dear Shubhom ,

You stated that a certain seat in the first round of the counselling was allotted to you but instead of opting to freeze the seat you chose the 'float' option. 'Float' option in a counselling means that you have been allotted a seat in a certain college but you opt to further check your luck in the next rounds to come in hope if you get a better place where you desire and this entire process runs with your original seat that was allocated to you being secured. Now that in the second round that you have been upgraded to the seat in the institute that you wanted, this will be retained while the previous will be vacated.
