I have completed my 12th,Now I want to enter in LLB so which exam I should give 1st .

Hi

LLB i. e. Bachelor of Legislative Law, is an undergraduate law programme .

One has the option to pursue llb in two ways:-

  • 5 year llb /integrated llb like BA llb, Bcom llb etc :- One becomes eligible for 5 year integrated LLB like BA LLB etc with qualification of 10 + 2


  • 3 year llb :- for 3 year llb , you need to be  a graduate.

If you want to get admission in 5 year LLB  then after 12th  some of the entrance examination which you can write are provided below :-

  • *CLAT i. e Common Law Admission Test

  • *AILET - All India Law Entrance Test

  • *LSAT - Law School Admission Test

  • *MHCET law entrance exam

  • *TS LAWCET

  • *LPUNEST

  • *CULEE

Out of all these CLAT is most widely accepted entrance examination for 5 year LLB

To give you a gist of eligibility criteria,

---------)You must be either appearing for your 12th board examination or should have passed it

---------)You must  pass your 12th board exam with at least 45% marks while SC and ST category students need only 40% marks.

Out of the aforementioned exams, you can appear in anyone of them, but CLAT is must recommended to appear in as it's the most widely accepted entrance exams and also your gateway to NLUs. In addition to CLAT you can also appear in other exams if you wish.

There's some colleges where you can get admission directly on the basis of 12th marks. But for good colleges including NLUs etc provide admission through entrance exams only.

To get admission in  5 year llb:-

-----------) Qualify the entrance exam

-----------)     Participate in counselling

-----------)    In  counselling, you will be alloted college on the basis of rank in the entrance exam

-----------)   Finally you need to get your documents verified like 12th certificate etc and then you can get admission in the alloted college.

After llb career opportunities include corporate counsellor, lawyer, legal advisor , legal manager etc

Average salary ranges roughly around 3- 5 LPA.
