First of all congratulations on getting alloted a seat in josaa. Now, if you want to participate in csab special round counseling, then there is no need of surrendering your seat or withdrawing your seat.

Csab special round is also conducted by central seat allocation board, is for filling of vacant seats in all nits, iiits, or gftis and iiest.
Now, for participating in csab special round counselling, you must have to pay a fees of Rs.36500 ( general/obc) or Rs. 16500 ( sc/ st/pwd).


Now for csab special round counselling for nits, iiits, gftis, one must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria for participating in csab special round counseling :-

• You must have given JEE Mains by securing a valid rank

• If you are are not allotted any seat in JoSAA or didn't participated in JoSAA counselling can participate in CSAB special round for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs 2020

• If you have been allotted any seat in NITs, IIITs or GFTIs through JoSAA and retaining your JoSAA seat, then also you can participate in csab special round counseling.

Now, as per your query i can assume that you have paid the seat acceptance fees in josaa. Now, if you got alloted any seat in csab, and you accept it then your josaa seat will automatically be canceled. And also note that your don't have to pay the seat acceptance fees once again.
So, yes you can participate in csab special round counseling without giving up your josaa seat.

In case you wish to participate in CSAB Round, you will have to forfeit or refuse the alloted seat in JOSAA Round, as per rules and regulations at a nominal cancellation fee. Do choose wisely, since you cannot revert your decision.
