Yes definitely! See it does not matter if you have mathematics as your optional subject or your main subject. What matters is that you should have mathematics on your report card or score card. So, even if you get compartment, if you clear the maths paper, then you can not only give JEE Main, but even appear for JoSAA counselling after that.
