Hello Piyush,

VIT does provide you with an option to change your branch after the first year. After the first semester, you will need to choose subjects for your second semester in a process called FFCS. During FFCS you need to choose 2 subjects of CSE which will be informed to you by the authorities. If you get a good CGPA and at least an A grade in those subjects in the second semester you will be eligible for branch change. According to the number of vacancies in the CSE branch, the students will be transferred to that branch. If there are 10 vacant seats top 10 students who are eligible for branch change will be given the opportunity. You will need to pay approximately 10k if your branch is successfully changed.
