Hello,

If you reappear for your 2nd PUC exams in 2024 , the marksheet will display 2024 as the year of passing. Although the board keeps a copy of the original passing year as recorded (2016), when it comes to submitting to any official place such as jobs or higher education, the latest marksheet is usually considered valid and hence the new passing year (2024) will be reflected.

  • Marks Improvement: Your new marks from 2024 will replace your previous marks when you present the updated certificate.
  • Passing Year: Institutions or employers may enquire about the gap between the first attempt and the improvement, especially if it is for competitive exams or admissions.
  • Eligibility: In many cases, eligibility for certain courses or jobs might look into the gap or passing year as part of their requirement.

If your aim is to pursue further studies, clarify with the institution or board regarding the process of updating your academic records to ensure a smooth application process.
