Hello,
The percentile score with respect to marks changes every year because percentile is the percentage of candidates who have scored less than or equal marks. Suppose that the highest score in JEE Main 2021 February session was 290 marks then it is marked and 100th percentile the consecutive score will be marked as 99.9 percentile. If the the highest score in JEE Main 2021 March session is 296 then it is marked as 100th percentile. As you can see the highest score is different in two session but the percentile is 100 in both the cases. So it is evident that the percentile vs marks trend changes every year depending on the highest score, least score, total number of candidates appeared etc. The previous year percentile vs marks trend can only be considered as reference to predict the percentile score that a candidate might get. This year the highest score might be different than previous year and the total number of candidates who appear for JEE Main is not same every year hence there is differences in year marks vs percentile score and this year marks vs percentile score.
