i have studied in class 6 to 10 in kerala and completed my inter 1st and 2nd year in andra pradesh state board , will I be considered local or non local for neet councelling
hi ,
here is how your local/non local quota for a state will be chosen
consider the following parameters according to the two states
For Andhra Pradesh State Quota:
- Andhra Pradesh considers candidates as local if they have studied at least 4 consecutive years in the state before Class 12 (Intermediate).
- Since you completed both 1st and 2nd year of Intermediate in Andhra Pradesh, you might be considered local for Andhra Pradesh's 85% state quota (subject to verification).
- If you did not meet the continuous 4-year study requirement, you might be treated as a non-local and will be eligible for only unreserved (non-local) seats.
For Kerala State Quota:
- Kerala usually requires Class 10+12 education in the state or a domicile certificate to be considered for the 85% state quota.
- Since you studied Class 6 to 10 in Kerala, you may still be considered non-local unless you have a domicile certificate proving Kerala as your permanent residence.
Final Status:
- Local in Andhra Pradesh (if your study duration meets their requirement).
- Non-local in Kerala , unless you have Kerala domicile proof.
- You can still apply for All India Quota (15%) in both states.
hope this helps
