i m scoring 139 in jee main january but still i m getting 89 percentile..how?

See percentile depends on number of students appeared and how much marks they are scoring.If you have got 89%ile it means there are 11% of the total students who have appeared have scored more marks than you.
It may happen that there are students who have scored 139+ and this affects your percentile.
Or it may happen there is some mistakes in your result because as per previous year trends 139 marks can fetch you 95+ percentile.

NTA have not released marks vs percentile yet.so you should not blindly believe in other source.According to our expert prediction your percentile should be more than 96 and rank should be around 24k.you can also check here
