Bachelor of Science [B.Sc. in Radiology] is a 3-year long course, divided into 6 semesters, with each semester lasting 6 months. Radiography is a medical subfield, dealing in the diagnosis of diseases and ailments related to the internal or hidden parts of the body, with the use of X-RAYS.

The average fee charged in India for pursuing the course ranges between INR 2lacs and 10lacs, depending upon the institute offering the course. The basic minimum eligibility needed for pursuing this course is a 10+2 qualification or equivalent qualification completed from a recognized educational Board.

Fresh graduates of B.Sc. in Radiography may earn anywhere between INR 7,000 to 10,000 monthly, with the salary increases with the increase in experience and skillsets. Such graduates are hired in capacities such as Diagnostic Radiographer, X-Ray Technician, Radiation Protection Specialist, among others.

The course is offered at leading institutes across major cities and States throughout the country, with the admission and selection being based on a relevant entrance examination and performance in the qualifying exam i.e. 10+2

ADMISSION PROCESS:

The general admission procedure for most institutes offering this course consists of an entrance examination and based on performance at all levels, i.e. X, Xll, and the entrance exam, admission to the course is given to candidates based on the final cumulative merit.

However, there are many institutes in the country that offer admission to the course based solely on the percentage scored in classes X and Xll. There are also a few institutes that conduct an additional round of counseling after the stage of the entrance examination, for final selection.

As one of the most promising career options in the paramedical field, B.Sc.  in Radiography is offered at various cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, etc. and other States throughout the country.
