Hello,
you surely get into vit but it is very much difficult to assume the branch you will about to get. As you know the viteee, the qualifying exam for getting into vit was scheduled 0n 28 th July to 2 nd August but due to present pandemic situation of covid-19 they have cancelled it . They have announced that admission will be done on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 level or pre university marks in physics ,chemistry, maths or biology. there primary criteria is to have an aggregate score of 60 % in physics , chemistry, maths or biology.
As per an official statement ,"those who scored in jee(mains) will be given more weightage ." The forms for providing 10+2 level marks and jee mains scores have been provided in the VIT website vit.ac.in .in case board exam results are not declared then students can upload it latter.
They have some eligibility criteria :-
1. Nationality:- indian nationals/ NRI/PIO/OCJ holder
2. Age:- born on /after july 01, 1998
3. qualifying exam :- 10+2
4. Minimum marks:- 60% marks in physics, chemistry , maths or biology ( pcm/pcb) in +2 (or its equivalent)
if you fulfill all these criteria the surely you can get into vit. and your jee main score was also not bad . vit has total 4 campuses all over india . so i can assure you that you will going to get into vit but you may have to compromise with the branch you want. Accroding to me it is very much difficult to assume the branch because it is totally depend on the no of students applied for vit and if they have good score in jee mains than you .
wish a very best of luck for your future.
thank you.
