Hi Ronak!

Yes, it is valid to take admission in 2021. As per the norms, any EWS category certificate is valid for 6 months to 1 year (maximum). And to take admission in any college, the general rule is that the EWS category certificate should be issued on or after 1st Jan in the same year of admission.

But I would be able to help you in a more better way, if you could mention the name of college/institute.

I have applied for M.tech in various IITs and NITIE Bombay. Although, I did not receive any Email regarding EWS certificate, but most of the places I heard that it is valid for one financial year.(i.e. valid till 31st March in my case) So, if I have to go for newer one or what?

Ronak Pandya See, if you have applied for new certificate on or after 1st january 2021, then it is valid till next year. Don't worry.
