I took humanities as my stream in class 11&12 . I want to pursue BA programme(economics and geography ) in DU. what is the eligibility . Can I enroll in that course? what is the future scope?
For pursuing BA Economics in DU after class 12th, you must have passed class 12th with atleast 60% marks in the best four subjects with maths as a compulsory subject, from a recognised Board of education.
For BA in geography, you must have scored minimum 55% in class 12th in best four subjects. So, you see, the Eligibility differs as per subject. You can apply for geography though. But, for economics, maths is required.

When we look at the scope, it can either be that you are placed via College placements or you can go for careers such as financial analyst, consultant, auditor, economist, investment analyst, manager etc., With Economics.
Woh geography, you can go for careers such as tourism, rural development, oil drilling industries, management etc.,
However, further degrees such as MA, PhD are preferred if you want to make good career and money.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
Hi Dear,
You cannot enroll yourself for BA Economics course offered by Delhi University as mathematics is compulsory subject for getting admission in this course. However, you can enroll yourself for BA Geography. For admission you should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination in arts stream from a recognized board with atleast 45% marks.
The scope of BA geography course is good. you can get placed if you get into good colleges under DU. Also you can go for higher studies and get good jobs in the same field.
