Hey Karthik,
Many people who appear for CAT and crack it in the first go and so will you too, with the right amount of Hardwork, focus and dedication.
As I think your are familiar about the pattern of CAT which consists of Vocabulary (English, RCs section), Quant (Mathematics section) and DI & LR ( Graphs, Pictures and reasoning section).
The logic is more about beating the game instead of winning the game. I mean, it's not about how many questions you attempt but it's about how many you let go cause you know the answer You got might be incorrect. The ability to let go of few questions is one of the major winning tricks in a examination like CAT which is a race against time and packed with negative marking scheme.
So there is this link which can help you with detailed CAT prep and so will many other CAT coaching classes, https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/cat-when-and-how-start-preparations/amp&ved=2ahUKEwjE8M7_vOrhAhWK63MBHYiEDzoQFjATegQIBhAB&usg=AOvVaw3wpWyn9MB0MhMz31UyIRQD&cf=1
The real tricks lay beyond the syllabus and that's what you need to master. Its about ability to crack examinations instead of cracking the syllabus.
Best books would CAT books by Arun Sharma, Coaching Institute Material and Test Series, RS Agrawal for DI-LR.
All the Best!!

Hello,
First 4 to 5 set of questions will be of Reading Comprehension. You must know how to read the passage fast (Speed reading techniques must be followed). To master this art you must read the newspaper daily and also try to understand the section which you have read in one go. You must try and solve the RC’s within 35 mins so that the rest 25 mins can be given to the VR questions and the grammar part.
Now for DI section, you must be familiar with all possible graphs and charts. You must know how to read them and infer data from it. DI is not that tough provided that you are real fast with your calculations. While practicing try doing all the calculations by yourself. Avoid the use of calculators.
LR can only be solved with rigorous practice. Keep your head cool while solving it and write down all the possible details of the question in order to avoid confusion.
QA. Focus on basics. Get your basics right. Know the formula's. Be aware of all the theorems and its applications. Do not waste time on the questions in which youare least sure. Skip it.
Be patient while solving the questions. The technique is to maximise your score by attempting only those questions where you are sure of the correct answer.
Find ways to solve questions fast and apply all the shortcuts to speed up your calculations.
Manage your time well.
All the best!
