I want to purse course in physics, and also want to study astrophysics. How to proceed? And which colleges will be fair enough. I know about IISc and Du. Plz tell me more and also about some colleges in Kolkata . Thank you! (I've just passed 12th btw)

You have successfully completed your 12th and now you can specialize in the field of Astrophysics so as to build up a career in this field.

You should have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the 10+2 level.

You  can go for various under graduate, post graduate as well as doctoral programs in the field of Astrophysics. you can pursue a Bachelor’s in Science in Physics and / or Mathematics.

That means I can do my bsc Or msc in physics and then opt for Astrophysics as a specialization?

nandikrmmhs I want to inform you that you can take up Astrophysics courses right after your 10+2 and can also do BSc in physics and then do a specialisation in astrophysics, it depends on your feasibility and preference.
