Hey!

A few jobs are more hazardous, especially where certain is a general physical with special emphasis on eyesight is given. But that doesn't mean that all jobs have such problems.

For example: An exam called as C"Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Service Group A in the CPWD" checks your eyesight.

But it's a government exam and as long as you are asking for placements in public or private sectors, there will be no such issue with your eyesight.

Hence, you can go for mechanical engineering.

All the best.

Hope this helps!

Hi Yeshwant.

The answer to your question is NO, you would not have any problem in the placements while pursuing your B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering because of your -2 eyesight.

The companies will look at your tech skills, CGPA, soft skills and nothing else.
