With any degree you can appear cor the IAS exam. As the eligibility to appear for IAS exam is candidate should have degree from any recognized university.

However if you want to select a degree course which will help you in preparation of the IAS exam also. You can select courses which have the same syllabus as that of civil services exam. Some of the such courses are -

B.A - English literature or other language (as the pre and mains syllabus includes languages also)

B.A political science

B.A history

B.A sociology

B.A geography

Bachelors in mass communication and journalism

B.Com

These are the courses which can help you. However infact there is no specific degree as the syllabus of civil services is broad whatever degree you get you will have some use of it in your preparation. So choose that degree course which you like to study. And sidwise focus in the preparation of civil services sticking to the syllabus.
