Hi

See, if a candidate takes admission in MBBS course via NEET. He is considered part of MBBS fraternity.

Yes, after MBBS candidate is required to give NEXT exam in order to take PG seat for MS/MD

It doesn't matter, if your additional subject was biology, if you are eligible for NEET according to criteria then you can give any medical exam post MBBS

Best of luck

Hello aspirant!
Hope you are doing well.

I think , you want to ask about Neet exam not NEXT exam. Because next exam is for the Mbbs students for taking admission in Pg colleges after mbbs.

So yes, if you have done biology separately after completing your 12th class with Pcm. You are eligible for giving Neet exam.

Further here I am providing you some tips on how to prepare for neet exam:-
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-neet-in-6-months .

Here I am mentioning some more Neet eligibility criteria:-
  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board.

  • Class 12 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET.
  • Candidates must have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2022.
  • There is no upper age limit
  • The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2022 exam is separate for each category and  aggregate marks only for PCB subjects

  • UR - 50%,

  • OBC/SC/ST - 40%,

  • PWD - 45%

Thank you for your kind reply.
But i actually meant abt NEXT EXAM ie pg entrance for mbbs students. In nmc new draft guidelines abt next exam they mentioned that only students with 12th core or main subjects are eligible for next.
